Obituary of Peter Roderick Powderface

Peter Roderick Powderface has been called home by our Creator on Sunday, October 8, 2006 at the age of 40 years. Peter was a Trail Boss for Joshua Creek Trails, the best on the trails. He was a kind person who liked the outdoors, loved hunting, fishing, camping and baseball, hockey and rodeo. Peter liked to help people that needed help. Peter liked to fix vehicles. He was a part of the traditional Stoney Cultural Activities like the Sundance and the Pow Wow. Peter is survived by his mother Eunice (Stella) Powderface; special aunt Lavine Brown; brother Murphy (Shannon) Powderface; sisters Sherry (John), Loriann (Lawrence), Bernadine, and Karen; his son Peter Jr.; daughter Latoya; adopted daughter Arressa Powderface; nephews Arvid (Laura), Catlan (Kengal), Joey, Ralph, Kori, Joe, Gardner, Sidney, Brandon, Storm and Seth; nieces, Niomi, Evangeline, Eldra (Brian), Glenna, Diandra, Tasina, Tamara; grandchildren Kenedi, Akeycia, Victordean; special nephew, Van Poucette (Eva); half-brothers Gilbert Francis (Florine), Lloyd, Marty; and half-sisters Winnie (Ernie), Brenda (Morley), Charlene (Clarence); adopted brothers Oliver Poucette and Wally Daychief; adopted sister Audrey Simeon (Michael); cousins Gerald (Velma), Charles (Mina) Clifford (Verna), Alvin (Liz), Doreen (Watson), Nancy Bigcrow, and Wilfred (Corine); auntie Gwen Rider; and his best friend Leo. He is also survived by many friends and relatives in Morley, Eden Valley and Sarcee. The family would like to apologize if any one might have been missed. Peter was predeceased by his father Roger Bearspaw Sr., brothers Herbert and Sidney Powderface; sisters Ralphine Powderface and Lilly Poucette; auntie May Bigcrow, and brother-in-law Dean Dixon, Wake Services will be held at the residence of Stella Powderface (Morley, AB) on Thursday and Friday, October 12 and 13, 2006. Funeral Service will be celebrated at the Morley School Gymnasium (Morley, AB) on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Chiniki Cemetery Morley, AB.
