Obituary of Bernice Lawson

Bernice Lawson beloved wife of John Lawson of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the age of 81 years. Bernice was born in Amisk, Alberta, and was raised in Kingman, AB. She was a member of the Canadian Women’s Army Corps during World War II. For a number of years Bernice worked at the North Hill Sears in Calgary, as well as being a volunteer and an active member at the Confederation Park Senior’s Centre. Besides her loving husband John, Bernice is survived by three sons; David, Richard, and Gary, all of Calgary; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Bertil Asp, of Camrose, AB, Herbert and Agda Asp of Kingman, AB, Douglas Asp and Anne Shuttleworth of Victoria, BC, and a sister Muriel Hyde of Langley, BC. Family Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice.
