Obituary of William Rausch

Bill Rausch, beloved husband of Bessie of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at the age of 85 years. Bill was born in Rosenfeld, Manitoba. He joined the R.C.A.F. during World War II, at the age of twenty, and served in England, before retiring in 1971 after serving for thirty years. Bill was also a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, for forty-eight years. He was an avid stamp collector and enjoyed gardening and travelling. Bill was a member of the Friendly Ones R.V. Club for twenty-eight years. Bill and Bessie celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 16, 2006. Besides his loving wife Bessie, Bill is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law; Cheryl Blair and Gord Schmidt, of Kamloops, BC, two sons and a daughter-in-law; Robert, Rod and Rosi all of Innisfail, AB; two grandchildren; Brandi and Ian, and Krista and Graeme, all of Maple Ridge, BC; and a great-granddaughter; Marion. He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law; Norman and Lorraine Rausch, of Penticton, BC, and a sister Lillian Bailey of Calgary, AB, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, October 13, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. Family Graveside Service will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
