Obituary of Josephine Frew

Josephine (Jean) Frances Frew passed away at the Chinook Care Centre on Monday October 9, 2006, at the age of 92 years. Jean was born in Sturgeon, P.E.I. She was a dedicated, committed, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Jean gave honour, respect and recognition to everyone. She taught in the Calgary Separate School system until she retired in 1974. Jean was a strong woman of faith; a devoted member of St. Mary’s Cathedral, serving both as a member of the Catholic Women’s League and counting the weekly collection. Jean is survived by her son Bill (granddaughter Mackenzee); daughter-in-law Venie (grandchildren Dawnelle, Michelle, David and Julie; and great-granddaughter Eve). She is also survived by her sister Mrs. Earl Gregory (Pat); and several nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her husband Dave in 1975; son Jim in 2001; her three brothers, Emmett, Howard and Clare; and sister Mary.
