Obituary of Francis Kenneth Budda

Beloved husband of Thora passed away due to heart failure on October 7, 2006 at the age of 73 years. Frank was born on October 4, 1933 in the Crowsnest Pass to John and Lena Budda, and he came to Calgary in 1951. Frank was with the Provincial Government as a surveyor for five years before joining Shell Canada for thirty-three years, until his retirement in 1984. He then worked with Canterra Energy for four years before becoming a consultant with Husky. Frank was very active in the community always volunteering his time. He was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus and a volunteer driver for the Cancer Society. Frank is survived by his children, Darlene (Jorge) Hernandez, Kenneth (Paige) Budda of Mississippi, and Lisa-Marie Budda; five grandchildren, Mackenzie Budda, Sara and Jacob Hernandez, and Nicholas and Elizabeth Budda. He is also survived by two sisters, Marion (Tom) Ressor of Victoria, B.C. and Anna (Bruce) Morin. Frank was predeceased by his brother, Johnny. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10827 – 24th Street S.W.) on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Jack Pereira, Presider.
