Obituary of Marilynn Haynes

Marilynn Patrick Haynes (Reid), Born November 13, 1937 in Red Deer, AB. She went home to Glory with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, October 5, 2006. A loving wife and caring mother, Marilynn will be sadly missed by her devoted husband Harold; children Douglas, Susan (Conrad), and Robert; and beloved grandchildren Cody and Christine. Marilynn dedicated her life to the Lord at an early age, and after marrying Harold in 1958 they served with Wycliffe Bible Translators for over thirty years; first in Mexico, and later in Kenya and Canada. Despite a lifetime of medical issues, Marilynn always put other’s needs before her own. A Celebration of Marilynn’s life will be held at Bethel Baptist Church in Calgary at 2:00pm on Thursday, October 12, 2006 Sincere gratitude to the nurses and physicians who cared for Marilynn at the Foothills Hospital, with special thanks to the tenth floor, unit 36, and the ICU. If friends so desire, in place of flowers, donations may be made to Wycliffe’s Kenya Childrens Literacy Project.
