Obituary of Edward Florian Flaman

Edward (Ed) Flaman passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, the evening of Monday, September 25, 2006 bringing an end to his battle with cancer at the age of 81years. Ed was born on December 20, 1924 in Southey, SK to John and Annie Flaman. Spending the majority of his life in Calgary, Ed recently celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary to Madeline (Del) Flaman. Ed lived in Cochrane close to his wife Del at the Bethany Care Centre. Musically talented, Ed played the organ for several churches and entertained the retirement group at the Big Hill Springs Lodge during Happy Hour. Ed enjoyed fishing trips with his good friend Frank McRobbie. More than anything, he loved his family and wanted them to be together. Ed will be deeply missed by his loving wife. He leaves to mourn his three children: Lorraine (Jack) Tuff, Mark Flaman, and Mike Flaman; his grandchildren, who knew Ed as ‘Buck’: Michael Dean, Matthew, Jeremy, Kristine, and Lisa, they will truly miss the many jokes that he loved to share. His five great grandchildren will miss the twinkle in his eye. Ed was predeceased by his grandson Chris.
