Obituary of John Clayton Morton

John Morton of Cayley, AB passed away on Sunday September 24, 2006 at the age of 80 years. John was born in Balcarres, SK to Catherine and Clayton Morton. He served with the Canadian Armed Forces from 1944 to 1969 as well as the United Nations Peacekeepers. John had a variety of interests, including travelling extensively, especially enjoying winters in Ajo, Arizona. John is survived by his children Margaret Morton of Calgary; James and Karen Morton of Port Coquitlam, BC; Barb and Keith Mann Of Calgary; Doug Morton of Calgary; Dave and Karen Morton of Calgary; his seven grandchildren, Amanda and Nathan Morton; Curtis and Derek Mann; Chantel Morton; and Harrison and Lauren Morton. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Jim McComb of Saskatoon, SK; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Marion and his brother Howard Morton. A Gathering will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #71, 25 – 8 Avenue S.E., High River on Friday September 29, 2006, at 2:30 p.m. with Padre Edgar Craig, Presider.
