Obituary of Bertram Arthur Nicoll

Bert Nicoll of Calgary passed away after a brief illness, on Friday, September 22, 2006 at the age of 91 years. After homesteading in Northern Alberta for many years, Bert moved to the oil patch where he spent the remainder of his working life, retiring at age 66. Bert and Louise retired to the Kootenay’s where they enjoyed twenty-five happy years together. After Louise’s passing in 2005, Bert spent the remainder of his life in Calgary. He will be lovingly remembered by his family. Bert is remembered by one son and daughter-in-law, Don and Pat Nicoll of Parksville BC; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Marcel Yurchak of Cochrane AB; four grandchildren, Tracey (Doug Walshaw) and, Colleen (Dave Payne) both of Longview, AB, Barry Sweet of Cochrane, AB and Blaine (Kathy) Sweet of Sundre, AB; three great-grandchildren, Andrea and Steven Sweet, and Wyatt Sweet; sister Hazel Lehto of Spruce Grove, AB, as well as other relatives and friends. Bert was predeceased by his wife Louise. A family Graveside Service will take place in Perryvale, Alberta in the family plot. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
