Obituary of John Whyte

Jack Whyte beloved husband of Lesley Whyte of Calgary passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2006 at the age of 60 years. Jack was born on July 17, 1946 in Glasgow, Scotland. He married Lesley in 1964 and came to in Canada 1966 to live in Toronto, ON, before settling in Calgary. John worked for Cardinal Coach Lines for over fifteen years in the Airport division, retiring in October of 2004. Besides his loving wife Lesley, Jack is survived by his four sons and two daughters-in-law, Jack and Tanya of Calgary, James of Quesnel, BC, Jay of Calgary, and Mike and Michelle of High River; his mother Matilda Whyte of Calgary; mother-in-law Jean Baxter of Glasgow; as well as numerous grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father James Whyte and son Sandy Whyte. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) today, September 22, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Salvation Army Berkshire Citadel (222 Sandarac Drive N.W.) on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with the Captain Stephen Sears, Presider.
