Obituary of John Edward Grant
Ed Grant, loving husband of forty-six years of Margaret Grant of Calgary, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2006 after a valiant battle with cancer at the age of 70 years.
Ed worked in the Oil Industry for forty-five years, where he made many friends. He found great fulfilment in volunteering at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. He and Margaret enjoyed travelling and camping with their clan at the lake. Ed loved the prairies and his home where he liked to garden and family BBQ’s.
Besides his loving wife Margaret, Ed will be sadly missed by his two sons and daughter-in-law, Brian of Baton Rouge, LA and Sean and Rodhiah of Edmonton; his two daughters and sons-in-law, Marion and Todd Stauch of Calgary and Christine and Uwe Weigle of Okotoks; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Stephanie, Megan, Joel, Mike, Hailey and Ella; as well as his brother Charles (Marilyn) Grant of Calgary. Ed was predeceased by his parents and his brother George.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church (7103 – 20A Street S.E.) on Monday, September 18, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church (7103 – 20A Street S.E.) on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev.
