Obituary of Jacob N. Harder

Jacob (Jake) N. Harder of Calgary, AB passed away peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2006 at the age of 86 years. Jake was born on October 6, 1919 and raised in Reinthal, MB. He spent his early years as a farmer, carpenter, business partner, and building contractor. He will be lovingly remembered for his sense of humour, quick wit, poetry, and positive attitude in spite of the challenges he faced in his life. Jake is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Ron and Sandra Harder; his daughter and son-in-law Carol and Nick Moltschanow; two grandsons Colin and Sean Harder of Calgary; sister Agatha (John) Giesbrecht of Winkler, MB; sisters-in-law Nettie Harder, Margaret Harder, Annie (Henry) Neufeld. Jake was predeceased by his wife Helen in 2003, after sixty years of marriage. He was also predeceased by his brothers John, Henry, George, and Eddie and sisters Lena, Anna, Tina, and Maria.
