Obituary of Grace Munro
Grace Ena Munro (nee Henning) of Calgary passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the age of 98 years.
Grace was born on May 30, 1908, and raised in the Springbank district. Her parents George and Georgina Henning moved west from Ontario. Grace married Johnny Munro in June 1927 and raised a family of five children. Grace was busily involved in farm life and a faithful member of the United Church and UCW. Grace was a true pioneer who raised a family, supported a farm and helped build a community. She took great pride in these endeavours, which were of the utmost importance to her.
Grace will be remembered by her three sons and two daughters: Reg (Edna) Munro, Gary Munro, Milo (Maureen) Munro, Joan (Clayton) Griffin, and Charlotte Munro, all of Springbank, Cochrane and Calgary. Grace had nine grandchildren: Diane (Don) Demetrick of St. Paul, Dean (Roseanne) Munro of Quesnel BC, Colleen Munro (Hal Davidson) of Cochrane, Tracey (Kelvin) Feist of Ardrossen, Shawn (Lynn) Munro of Springbank, Shannon Munro (Ryan Brood) of Kennewick WA, Corbin Munro of Springbank, Duane Griffin of Cochrane and Lee (Karen) Griffin of Redwood Meadows. Grace is also survived by nine great-grandchildren: Laura, Cameron, Sayla, Jenny, Jake, Tyler, Jordan, Connor and Grady, and four great-great grandchildren: Holly, Hanna, Tristan and Wacey, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Grace was predeceased by her husband Johnny, her sister Eva Wills and her brother Clifford Henning.

Funeral Services will be held at Springbank United Church (250011 Range Road 33) on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Springbank Cemetery.
