Geoffrey Merriman

Obituary of Geoffrey Clarence Merriman

Our dear Geoffrey left his family who loved him so much on Monday September 4, 2006, at the age of 24 years. Geoff was a happy person with a mischievous grin, a big caring heart and a great sense of humour. Always present was a twinkle in his eye that lit up a room when he walked in. Geoff took great pride in himself, wore the coolest shades, tip top clothes and he was sure to have the latest “gadgets”. He pursued trick riding on his BMX bike with gusto and had a passion for rock music. Geoff attended St. Cyril and Bishop Grandin schools. He was employed as an elevator mechanic, the job had it’s ups and downs, but he enjoyed his chosen trade. Geoff is survived by his loving parents Kevin (Ann) and Beverly; the love of his life Randee Kubash; his brothers Shane and Clark; his grandparents Jack and June; several aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as so many life-long friends who all had a special place in their hearts for Geoff. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Tuesday September 12, 2006, at 8:00 p.m. To celebrate Geoff’s life, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church (5340 – 4th Street S.W.) on Wednesday September 13, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Eulogio S. Estaris, Presider. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice.
