Obituary of James Ewing

James (Jim) McKenzie Ewing, beloved husband of Kay Ewing, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at the age of 85 years. Jim was born and educated in Calgary and worked for Canadian Pacific Railway until 1974. He was a skilled woodworker and a kind and generous spirit to his family and friends. Besides Kay, his loving wife of sixty-two years, Jim will be lovingly remembered by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Barbara; his daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and John Bogner; his grandchildren, Ashley and Stephanie Ewing and his sister-in-law, Joan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his three brothers, Bill, Don and Jack; three sisters, Marion, Grace and an infant sister. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, September 9, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A Private Graveside Service to follow at a later date.
