Obituary of Caterina Verardi

Caterina Verardi of Calgary passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at the age of 76 years. Caterina is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Giuseppina and Paolo DeMinico, three sons and two daughters-in-law, Battista and Caterina, Giuseppe and Vittoria and Serafino; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Caterina is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law in Italy, Francesco and Luigina Spadafora and Antonio and Caterina Spadafora as well as numerous relatives in Canada and Italy. She was predeceased by her husband Giovanni and brother Domenico. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Friday, September 1, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
