Obituary of Violet Baker

Violet Baker of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2006 to join her husband John Baker and son Allan Baker. She was 84 years of age. Vi was born in Medicine Hat, AB and was active with the Daughters of the Nile, and with her church. She also volunteered at many organizations. Violet was an avid fishing buddy to her late husband, John. She spent most of her life in Calgary and Claresholm working as a medical records librarian. Violet was a friend to all, epitomizing character, dignity, kindness, honesty and integrity. Violet will be deeply missed by her son Rolly Baker; and daughter and son-in-law Pat and Don Klein. She was a proud grandmother to Michael (Sondra) Baker, Jodie (Bruce) Kelly, Chad and Ryan Baker, Kasey Klein, Kevin Klein and Kris Klein. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Mason and Katie Baker, Ambreah and Jackson Kelly; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Violet will be lovingly remembered by her faithful twin Verna Bachman (Butch) of Los Gatos, California. Mom was predeceased by her husband John; son Allan; parents Lydia and Charles Unterseher; and brothers, Wallace, Emil and Clarence Unterseher. Funeral Services will be held at Northminster United Church (3311 Centre Street North) on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. David Drake, Presider.
