Obituary of Diana Mitsuko Tomimoto Yano

Diana Mitsuko Tomimoto Yano went on to be with the Lord on August 18, 2006 at the age of 44 years. Born on May 24, 1962 she grew up and resided in Calgary. Diana was a bright, hard working individual whose enthusiasm and focus helped her to reach many high levels of academic achievements. She completed her A.R.C.T. in piano and as a gifted piano teacher and pianist, shared her joy for music with her piano students and worship music groups. Diana graduated as a chemical engineer at U of C and eventually went on to work for TCPL where she excelled in her career. Diana loved participating in sports and when health permitted, she could be found golfing, playing tennis, skiing or any other outdoor activity. Despite the many difficult challenges and obstacles that life seemed to bring, Diana always managed to find the time to nurture others through volunteering selflessly at church, the PALS program, or just being a friend to someone who needed encouragement. Diana treasured her walks in Fish Creek Park. Her deep love for her family and friends was expressed in the many beautiful photo albums she created. Diana will be deeply missed by her loving family and many friends. She is at peace now and free from suffering. A private family funeral service was held on Friday, August 25, 2006.
