Obituary of Marsha Stein

It is with great sadness that the Khan family announces the passing of Marsha Stein, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She passed away peacefully at the Sturgeon General Hospital on August 22, 2006. Marsha was born in Gomel, Russia in 1922 and moved to Canada in 1928. She spent the majority of her life living, working and raising her family in Calgary. Marsha worked in downtown Calgary at Switzer’s Jewellery for over twenty years. Marsha is survived by her daughter Sharon (Ash) Khan of St. Albert; daughter-in-law Mairi MacLean of Edmonton; grandchildren, Stephen (RaeLynn) Khan, Heather (Craig) Lister, Abbie Stein MacLean and Jonah Stein MacLean; great-grandchildren, Mickey Khan, Sasha Khan and Jack Lister; as well as many devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband Saul Stein; her son Allan Richard Stein; brothers Morton Dvorkin and Joe Dvorkin; and sisters Dorothy Dvorkin and Marjorie Krangle. Marsha will be lovingly remembered by all who crossed her path. Heartfelt thanks to all her friends and staff at McConnell Place North in Edmonton.
