Obituary of Almanzor Gill

Almanzor Gill of Calgary passed away on Monday, August 7, 2006 at the age of 98 years. Almanzor was born in Notre Dame de Pierreville, QC on August 31, 1907. He was predeceased by his wife Lea and his granddaughter Elise. He is survived by his daughter Marguerite Ratke and his son Larry (Juanne); two sisters, Rachelle Lafreniere and Lena Henley. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Douglas (Cassandra), Renee, Ron, and Don Ratke of Calgary, Monique (John) Moskalyk of Edmonton, Charles (Charlotte) Gill of Sweden; and eleven great-grandchildren, Jacob, Hannah, Olivia, Alexandra, Cassandra, Liam, Quinn, Heather, Lori, Holly, and David. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Alphonse Narisetty, Presider. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Father Lacombe Care Centre (332 – 146 Avenue S.E.) on Friday, August 11, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Alphonse Narisetty, Presider.
