Obituary of Gail Patricia Montgomery-Masonchuck

Gail passed away on August 4, 2006, at the Rockyview Hospital despite the valiant efforts of doctors and staff in the Intensive Care Unit. Born in 1952, Gail was an instructor at Mount Royal College since 1980. Prior to that she was employed by T.V. stations in Lethbridge, Calgary and Vancouver. She had also freelanced to an advertising agency in Western Canada and worked in the hotel industry for a short period of time. She won many media awards for her productions and awards for her teaching at the college where she had introduced her own course idea into the existing framework of the Broadcasting Program. Gail is sadly missed by her family and is survived by her husband Ken; daughter Kendra; parents Roy and Colleen Montgomery of Lethbridge; brothers Douglas of Calgary and Alan of Lethbridge; as well as her brother and sisters-in-law, many friends, nieces and co-workers. She was predeceased by her sister Kellie. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday August 11, 2006, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church (1611 St. Andrew’s Place N.W.) on Saturday August 12, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
