Obituary of Diane Joan Morrison

On Saturday August 5, 2006, Diane passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with bowel cancer. She is survived by her loving family: husband Bernard Maimer; daughters Kristina and Andrea; and sister and brother-in-law Carmen and Gordon Heath. Diane was born in Montreal on January 27, 1950. She graduated from McGill University Medical School in 1974 and served as Chief Resident and Teaching Fellow at Foothills Hospital during her residency training. During her tenure as professor with the University of Calgary Medical School, Diane directed the Pediatric Residency Training Program for ten years. Diane specialized in pediatric behaviour and development with careful assessment and thoughtful treatment. She was a caring wife and mother and will be missed always. Funeral Services will be held at St. Laurence Anglican Church (5940 Lakeview Drive S.W.) on Thursday August 10, 2006, at 3:00 p.m.
