Obituary of Juanda Cheryl Brady Hood

Juanda Hood passed away quietly at home in Calgary on July 15, 2006 after a lengthy illness at the age of 83 years. Juanda was born on February 16, 1923 in Ardmore Oklahoma. Her lifelong passion was music. She was a patron of the arts, supporting the Calgary Opera Society, Calgary Philharmonic and the Calgary Organ Society. Juanda was involved in volunteer work with the Alberta Children’s Hospital, and was also an active member of the Calgary Golf and Country Club for many years. Juanda will be lovingly remembered by daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Bob Parmele of Kirkland, Washington; daughter Nancy Holley Hood of Dallas, Texas; brother and sister-in-law Dewey and June Brady and family of Grove, Oklahoma; as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Oklahoma, Texas, Georgia and Washington State. Juanda was predeceased by her husband of fifty-eight years, Richard D. Hood. A private family service will be held.
