Tove Bierhals

Obituary of Tove Margarethe Bierhals

Tove Bierhals passed away quietly on Monday, July 31, 2006 in her 95th year at the Bethany Care Centre. She resided there for many years and, between fellow residents and staff, had made several good friends. Tove was born in Kopenhagen, Denmark on April 9, 1912. After losing her husband, Walter, in WWII she came to Canada and took up residence in Montreal. She spent many years there as the Maitre’D for the Royal Montreal Golf Club in the summers and Manoir Pinoteau at Mont Tremblant in the winters. Tove will be missed by Mike and Susan Lavery of Calgary, and their children, John (Emily), Will and Andrea (Thomas) and the children of Andi and Thomas, Marcus, Kaia and Lucas, all of whom Tove considered as her own. We wish to extend a special note of gratitude to Nurijan Henderson and Margaret Larkin for their loving care in Tove’s final days. At Tove’s request, no Funeral Service will be held.
