Obituary of David MacDonald
David MacDonald, beloved husband of Margaret MacDonald of Calgary, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2006 at the age of 87 years.
David was born December 18, 1918 in New Byth, Scotland. He was a WWII veteran, spending five years as a prisoner of war in Germany. He immigrated to Canada with Margaret in 1948 and worked as a stone mason in the Ottawa area, until his move to Calgary in 1988 to be closer to family.
Besides his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Margaret, David is survived by four children and their partners, Mary and Ron Lamontagne, David and Linda MacDonald, Sheila MacFayden, and Robert MacDonald and Kim Fritsch; three grandchildren, Laura (Daryl) Oliver, Sarah MacFayden, and Glen MacDonald; and numerous extended family in both Canada and Scotland. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Ron MacFayden.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (703 Heritage Drive S.W.) on Thursday, August 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
