Obituary of Robert Hart Robinson
Robert Hart (Bob) Robinson, beloved husband of Pat Robinson of Calgary, passed away on Saturday July 22, 2006 at the age of 73 years.
Bob was born in Lamont, AB, and moved to Camrose at age four where he was raised and attended school. After graduating high school and working as a pharmacy assistant in Wetaskawin, he went to the University of Alberta to become a teacher. Upon graduation he taught in Strome and then in Clive for several years. Bob also taught Junior High School in Calgary at Bridgeland, Fairview and Bowness. Taking a leave of absence from the Calgary School Board, he obtained a Masters degree, graduating in 1972. Bob then taught at the grade six level in elementary schools in Calgary until his retirement in 1989. He enjoyed reading, listening to jazz, curling, golfing and especially riding the bike paths in Calgary.
Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife Patricia A. Milner whom he married in 1963; his three children, Diane Susan Egan (Kevin), Deborah Joanne (Steve), and Brendan Hugh (Jennifer Wong); and, his grandchildren, Benjamin, Matthew, Laura and Delaney. He is also survived by his mother, Lela Robinson of Camrose; brother Hugh John (Kathryn) of Olds; sister Mavis Sund (Rudy) of Camrose; and sister Joan Baker (Arnold) of Edberg.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday July 28, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
