Obituary of Felicitas Lucero

Felicitas (Citas to family and friends) passed away surrounded by her family at the Peter Lougheed Hospital after a three-year battle with cancer. Born Felicitas Lemi in Tagudin, Ilocos Sur Philippines, she was a Grade I Elementary teacher for 26 years in Baguio City Philippines before she immigrated with her family to Canada in April 1973. She worked at George Boyack Nursing Home, the Calgary General Hospital and the Calgary Public Library until her retirement 13 years ago. She is survived by her loving husband Manuel Sr. (Maning), sons Manuel Jr. (Bebot), Hector and Jovit, daughters-in-law Gertrudes (Baby), Tessie and Lalie, grandchildren Shannon, Lauren, Maja, Kiah, Danica and Anthony, nieces Imelda, Irene and Marites, sister Carolina Lemi and predeceased by her older sister Patrocinio Aquino. She was a very loving and caring person. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining for loved ones. Felicitas will be sadly missed by her family and everyone who knew her. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Thursday July 20 and Friday July 21 at 5:30-8:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Marks Catholic Church, 5552 Madigan Drive NE, Calgary AB on Saturday July 22, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Graveside service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 17 Avenue SE & Garden Rd.
