Obituary of Grace Elizabeth Kislanko

Grace Elizabeth Kislanko of Calgary passed away on Monday, July 17, 2006 at the age of 72 years. Grace was born on January 7, 1934 in Saskatoon, SK. She moved to Calgary in 1955 and married Don Kislanko on April 25, 1958. Grace worked at Don’s business All Track Service Ltd as a bookkeeper, and later she worked for Accessible Housing Society. Following her retirement, she and her grandson Donald volunteered at Fourth Dimension Group Home, where many a disagreement over the garden hose occurred. Grace was a passionate gardener busy in the summer outside and year round raising African Violets, she and Wade were avid home winemakers. She enjoyed a good game of cards with her brothers and sisters. Grace was very active on the Arbour Cliff Social Committee. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandson Donald. Grace is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Wade and Marg Kislanko and their son Donald; her daughter and son-in-law Sandy and Bryan Pierpoint, all of Calgary. She is also survived by three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Bob and Bonnie Stevenson of Paddockwood SK; Chet and Annette Stevenson of Moose Jaw, SK; Lorne Stevenson of Limoges, ON; a sister and brother-in-law Pat and Gerald Nagy, of Prince Albert, SK; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Grace was predeceased by her husband Don on November 13, 1997; her sister Hazel Rundquist; and her brother Bernie Stevenson.
