Obituary of Robert Roger Leinweber

Robert (Bud) Roger Leinweber of Balzac, Alberta passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at the age of 77 years. Bud was born in Calgary on May 8, 1929. He attended the University of Calgary and was retired from his teaching career with the Calgary Board of Education. Bud will be sorely and deeply missed, more than words can say, as a devoted, loving and supportive husband, father and grandfather (Buddy). He had a great love of music and was a gifted musician who enjoyed playing the violin. Bud and Joy loved the years spent playing in the Calgary Symphony Orchestra. Bud’s wife Joy will miss their annual honeymoons to warm destinations. He will be remembered by his children for his patience, as he taught them and their children to water-ski on the Shuswap. Bud will be remembered by his grandchildren for the fun Disneyland trips year after year as he went on all the rides with them. Bud leaves to mourn his passing, his childhood sweetheart, best friend and loving wife of fifty-seven years, E. Joy Leinweber; his children, Robert Dean Leinweber of Calgary, Sherrie Lee Leinweber-Morton (Mike) of Balzac, Christopher Edmund George Leinweber (Wanda) of Calgary, Shannan Joy Campbell (Brent) of Crossfield; grandchildren, Ren Leinweber, Cayland Leinweber, Lane Leinweber, Justin (Andrea) Morton, Lee Morton, Lyle Leinweber, Liam Leinweber, Kiana Campbell, Ashlyn Campbell; and his sister, Shirley Georgina Leinweber of Calgary.
