Obituary of Agnes Maria Rojas
On July 15, 2006, our dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister and beloved friend, Agnes Maria Rojas, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 61, surrounded by her family.
Agnes was born in Hungary and moved to Chile where she met and fell in love with her husband Jorge. In 1977 they moved to Calgary to raise their four beautiful children and three grandchildren. Agnes dedicated her life to care for numerous children who together with their parents affectionately knew her as their beloved ‘Neni’, in her day home for over twenty-five years. She was the most courageous woman, with an unshakable faith that was an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She strongly believed in love amongst humans and openly spread her love through every friend and especially her sisters and brothers of her beloved Worldwide Church of God and with the Ladies Auxiliary of Cyprus Preceptory of Knight Templar.
Agnes will be deeply missed by her husband Jorge; her children, Agnes, Istvan, Ilonka and Arthur; and her grandchildren, Samuel, Jorge and Angelina. She is also survived by her mother Agnes; her sisters, Catalina, Shary and Anne-Marie; her brothers, George and Peter Veress; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Tuesday July 18, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., with Mr. David Sheridan and Rev. Donal Stewart, Presiders.
