Obituary of Gerhard Rempel

Gerhard (Gerry) Rempel, beloved husband of fifty-eight years of Lois Rempel of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at the age of 83 years. Gerry was born on May 7, 1923 in Russia and immigrated to Canada with his parents as an infant. The family resided in Saskatchewan, primarily in Rosthern. Gerry attended the U of S, later moving to Alberta. He was employed as a Geophysicist with Imperial Oil from 1948 until his retirement. Besides his loving wife Lois, Gerry is survived by his family, Mary Jane and Doug Stewart of Bragg Creek, David Rempel of Fort Sasktachewan, AB and Ann and Gerry Estep of Denver, CO; three grandchildren, Andrew, Scott and Meghan of Yellowknife, NWT; and a great-grandson Duncan. He is also survived by four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Hilda and Jake Klassen of Saskatoon, SK, Alma Rogers of Victoria, BC, Agnes and Alex Wall of St. Catharines, ON, and Laura Wiens of Dundurn, SK; and a brother Albert Rempel of Calgary. He was predeceased by his brother John Rempel; and his parents John and Susie Rempel.
