Obituary of Joan Phillips

Joan Marie Phillips passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Thursday, July 6, 2006 at the age of 49 years. She was blessed with a large circle of friends who were a tremendous support throughout her life. Joan enjoyed her entire career in the oil and gas industry, especially the last fifteen years with Guard Resources. Joan was a member and an avid player at The Country Hills Golf Club, a game for which she had great passion. Joan leaves to mourn her best friend and soul mate, Walt Stevenson, her mother Lillian Phillips, her brother Gord (Bev), and her treasured niece and nephew, Janelle and Wes, and their mother Deb. She was predeceased by her father, R.M. (Bob) Phillips in 1985. A celebration of Joan’s Life will be held at Bow Valley Christian Church (5300 – 53 Ave. N.W.) on Sunday, July 9 at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Scruggs, Presider.
