Obituary of William Black Adam
It is with heavy hearts that the family of William Black Adam wish to announce his passing at home in High River, AB on Saturday, July 1, 2006 at the age of 80 years.
Bill was born in Calgary, AB on January 6, 1926. He was the oldest of three boys; George born May 31, 1927 and Robert born July 6, 1929.
Bill joined the Armed Forces following High School in 1943. Although he never actually saw active combat overseas, the experiences in the army always resulted in good stories from Bill, who enjoyed the sense of team and the responsibility of looking after others.

He was a traveling ticket agent from his homes in Winnipeg, MB and Montreal, QC, and took over responsibility for passenger services in Calgary, AB in the late 1960’s. Bill retired from the railway in 1978. His second life revolved around antiques, old houses, and making his wife Loree happy, until her passing in January of this year.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his sons, David Adam (Irene) and Jamie Adam (Margaret); and his brother George Adam (Lois), all of Calgary, AB. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Loree on January 1, 2006; father Andrew in 1972; mother Margaret in 1991; and by his brother Robert in 1985.
