Obituary of Charles James Money

Charles James (Chuck) Money, passed away on June 25, 2006, at the age of 77 years. Chuck was the beloved husband of Mary; dear father and father-in-law of Paula, Suzanne and Todd. He was the cherished Papa to five grandchildren, Gregory and Geoffrey Peden; and Scott, Christopher and Ashley Chuckry. Chuck is also survived by his sister Dorothy. Chuck completed his formal education at Western Canada High School. He then became involved in the construction industry and was owner of George Money & Son Limited. He was the national president of the Thermal Insulation Association of Canada and served on numerous committees throughout his business career. Chuck was an avid lover of sports, enjoying many years playing commercial softball in Calgary. He was also a long standing member of Earl Grey Golf Club. His great passion in life was flying his various airplanes and spending many enjoyable hours with his flying buddies at his hangar in Springbank. He was a member of the Western Warbirds and with them, performed at numerous air shows across the continent. Chuck also donated many flying hours to raising funds for various charitable organizations. He was predeceased by his parents George and Betsy Money.
