Obituary of Cliff Allen

Clifford Ellis (Cliff) Allen beloved husband of Mrs. Esther Allen of Calgary, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at the age of 81 years. Cliff was born in Cobalt, ON, on August 29, 1924. He enlisted in the Canadian Paratroopers during WWII. After the war he moved to Calgary and was employed as a carpenter and ran his own business for many years. Dad especially enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing. Besides his loving wife Esther, Cliff is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Rene Koltes; his sons, Chris and Ross; his daughter Barbara; and his grandchildren, Peter, Allana, Joshua, Tegan, and Caden. He is also survived by his sisters, Rhonda Fera, Joyce Butler, Audrey Haines and Nancy Boutin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Monday, June 26, 2006 at 12:30 p.m. Graveside services to follow at a later date in the Field of Honour at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
