Obituary of Ronald Lawrence Welsh
Ronald (Ron) Lawrence Welsh, beloved husband of Hellena and son of Larry and Sharlene Welsh completed his journey at the Agape Hospice at the young age of 46 years after a valiant eight-month battle with lung cancer.
After completing high school in 1978 at Sir Winston Churchill, Ron discovered our Heavenly Father and undertook a two-year Mormon mission to Seoul, Korea in 1982. Upon his return, he went to U of C, where he met his wife, Hellena and completed his Education Degree in1989. With degrees in hand, they went north to teach. Ron discovered a love and appreciation of the Cree Culture. In 2005, Ron pursued Power Engineering and had just begun a career with Syncrude in Fort McMurray when he became ill.
Besides his loving wife, and his parents, Ron is survived by his daughter Sheena; and stepdaughters Deena, Bonnie and Marie. Ron also leaves to mourn his two sisters Janet (Werner) Welsh, and Michele (Mitch) Bracken.

Funeral Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Royal Oak Chapel (81 Royal Elm Dr N.W.) on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Cochrane Cemetery (Cochrane, AB).
