Obituary of Sarah May McLean

Sarah (Sally) May McLean of Calgary passed away on Friday, June 16, 2006 at the age of 78 years. Sally was born on March 7, 1928 in Regina, SK. She met Lorne McLean at Regina Beach and they were married February 2, 1946. Sally and Lorne loved the beach and enjoyed endless summers at Regina Beach visiting with family and friends. They came to Calgary in July of 1960 and in 1961, Sally began working at Sears in Northhill Shopping Centre. Sally enjoyed camping, fishing and being outdoors. She also enjoyed knitting, but especially loved to be with her family and care for her dogs. Sally is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Norman and Sheila, of Calgary; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda Sanderson of Vancouver, BC, Judy and Ross Belot, Shirley and Ron Hamilton, and Lorna Sanderson all of Calgary; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters and brother-in-laws, Margaret and Ervin Lenzin and Sandy and George Thomson, and one sister-in-law Sheila Forgie. Sally was predeceased by her husband Lorne McLean in 1994 and her brother John Forgie in 1996, her son-in-law, Linda’s husband, Terry Sanderson in 2005.
