Obituary of Wallace Pearn

Wallace (Wally) Joseph Pearn, beloved husband of Elsie Pearn of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at the age of 80 years. Wally was born and raised in Calgary. He served overseas during WWII and after returning to Calgary was employed with the City of Calgary Waterworks for thirty-five years before retiring in 1981. He was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 1. Besides his loving wife Elsie, Wally is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Nora; seven daughters and six sons-in-law, Linda and Nick Hermann, Margaret and Alan Molyneux, Marion and Cecil Leong, Donna and Ernie Weber, Flo Campbell, Brenda and Ralph Hoefling, Deb Drake and George Horn; twenty-three grand-children and many great grand-children. Wally was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Joe Trembecki; a grandson and three great grandsons and three sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Sunday, June 18, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, June 19, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow in The Field of Honour at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
