Obituary of J’Neene Dingman

J’Neene Dingman (nee Benson), loving and devoted wife of the late Roger Lorne Dingman of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2006 at the age of 65 years. J’Neene was born on October 20, 1940 in Niagara Falls, ON. By the age of 13 years, J’Neene had already met her husband-to-be Roger whose family lived in the same Niagara Falls neighbourhood as her own family. J’Neene and Roger were married on June 25, 1960 and started their family four years later. In 1974, J’Neene and Roger moved the family from Niagara Falls to Calgary, and aside from a two-year stay in Orange County, CA (1975 – 1977), they lived and worked in Calgary for the remainder of their lives. J’Neene and Roger were truly defined as a couple and were rarely apart. They were united in facing all of life’s challenges and joys as a pair and remained committed to each other through forty-five years of marriage, separated only by Roger’s death in September 2005. Together with Roger, J’Neene enjoyed many years of raising and showing dogs and participating in service to their church. J’Neene will be remembered as a very capable and organized individual and as an engaging friend and neighbour to many. J’Neene is survived by her daughter Andrea Team of Carlsbad, CA; son Mark Dingman of Denver, CO; sisters, Pauline and Maureen; father Frank Benson; and four grandchildren, Tess, Kelly, Rory, and Colin Team. She was predeceased by her mother Pansy and husband Roger.
