Obituary of Tyler Keith Johnson
Tyler Johnson beloved son of Larry Johnson and Isabelle Hunt-Johnson, of Calgary passed away suddenly on June 11, 2006, at the age of 24 years.
Tyler went to Wildwood and Olympic Heights Elementary Schools, Vincent Massey Jr. High, and Western Canada High School. He was enrolled in the Media and Design Program at Alberta College of Art and had just received a scholarship from ACAD. He worked for seven years as a peer counsellor at Calgary Birth Control Association. He loved his many friends, contemporary art and music, advertising and fashion, alternative movies, skate-boarding, computers and video editing.
Tyler is survived by his grandmother Joyce Hunt of the Gold Coast, Australia; aunts and uncles, Judy and Dale Sjerven of Vancouver Island, BC, and Gordon and Marlene Johnson of Medicine Hat, AB; cousins, Scott, Todd, Jamie, Grant, Joshua, and Jason
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Sunday June 18, 2006, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday June 19, 2006, at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friend’s so desire, a memorial tribute may be made in Tyler’s name directly to the Alberta College of Art and Design (1407 – 14th Ave. N. W. Calgary, AB. T2N 4R3). Donations made will support a student scholarship.
