Obituary of Alfred Edward Warner

Alf Warner, born December 1, 1929 in London, England, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at the age of 76 years. In 1965 he brought his young family to Canada where he worked a variety of jobs before finishing his working career at Lucerne Foods. Retiring in 1990, he continued to live life to the fullest, traveling, camping, fishing, gardening, playing the organ, working as a volunteer at the Kerby Centre and entertaining his family with stories of growing up in wartime Britain and his early career as a fireman with British Rail. His great love, generosity, and humour will be greatly missed by all. Alf will be remembered by Betty, his loving wife of forty-nine years; by his two children, Frank and Ann; daughter-in-law, Tracy; grandchildren, Michael, Brandi-Lee, and Nicole; his brothers, William and Clifford; and sisters, Hilda and Ann. He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Phyllis; brothers, Roy and Alan; and sisters, May, Gladys, and Doris. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, June 16, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
