Obituary of Calvin Gerlitz

Calvin John Gerlitz, beloved husband of Jean Gerlitz of Calgary, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, June 8, 2006 at the age of 67 years. Cal was born and raised in Calgary and worked his entire life in the trucking business. He was a simple man who loved his family immensely. Cal was also a very loving and attentive husband. His loving and caring nature will be missed greatly by both his friends and family. Besides his loving wife Jean, Cal will be missed by four sons and two daughter-in-laws, Kevin and Christina Gerlitz, James Booth, John and Mary Booth and Joseph Booth; two daughters and a son-in-law, Joni and Jeff Barry and Julia Cummings; fourteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Cal is also survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Elaine Bruder and Linda and Albert Appel; sister-in-law Florence and Lea Mindrum. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Lydia and sister Joanne.
