Obituary of Raymond Gartner
Raymond George Gartner, beloved husband of June Burnett of Airdrie, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at the age of 61 years.
Ray was born August 30, 1944 in Holdfast, SK. He was a dedicated and passionate man towards his family, friends, work and life. His smile and his laughter will be sadly missed. Ray was greatly respected by his associates throughout the propane industry.
Besides his loving wife June, Ray is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Barry and Terri Gartner and their children Brooke and Carson, Kevin Gartner and his daughter Kayla, one daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Robert Fonnyadt and their children Robby and Reilly; a step-son and step daughter-in-law Terry and Melanie McCann and their children Matt, Ryan, Allie, Shane and Meagen. Ray is also survived by his sisters, Anne, Jean, Helen (Erwin), Matilda (Bryan), Rose (Gene), Eileen (Len) and brothers Ed (Gloria), Pius (Carol), Albert (Norma) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ray will be missed by all of June’s family and his life long friends Ken and Laurel Friesen whose lives he touched with laughter and love. He was predeceased by his first wife Phyllis in 1985, his father Peter in 1993, his mother Katherine in 1999 and his brothers-in-law John Lipp and Walter Swidrowich.
A Family Memorial will be held to Celebrate Ray’s Life.
