Obituary of Dorothy Jean Pethick

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy “Doe” with her family by her side in Calgary, on May 25, 2006.

Mom spent the past eight years in Calgary following the death of our father Llewellyn Wallace. She grew up in Burlington before attending the University of Toronto, graduating in occupational therapy. Doe worked for a short time before marrying Wally. They were soon busy raising five children who will remember her compassion, generosity and understanding. She enjoyed her many wonderful friends while playing tennis and gardening. Thank you all for being so kind.

Mom leaves us with many wonderful cherished memories, her son David of Thetes Island, BC; daughters, Jill  of Calgary and Barb Pethick (Vince DeCoste) of Prince George; granddaughters, Christina Pethick of Switzerland, Sara Pethick of Whitehorse, Yukon, Loey May Engel of Seattle, Washington and Cassidy Fuller of Calgary; daughters-in-law Beatrice (Trix), of Switzerland and Julie, of Whitehorse, YT. Mom was predeceased by two sons Robert (Bob) and Thomas (Tom) Pethick.

A Gathering will be held for Dorothy and Wally at the Roseland Club (3079 Princess Blvd.) on Saturday, August 12, 2006 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. We would love to see everyone there.
