Obituary of Bruna Paiaro

Bruna Paiaro, beloved wife of Giovanni Paiaro of Calgary, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2006, surrounded by her family and friends at the age of 78 years. Bruna was born in Tre Baselige, Treviso, Italy on March 6, 1928. She came to Canada with her family in 1956 at which time she resided in Moose Jaw, SK until 1968 when her family moved to Calgary. She was very proud of her Italian heritage and she worked as a professional seamstress. One of her passions in life was her needlework and crafts. Bruna’s family was very important to her and she will be sadly missed. Besides her loving husband of fifty-eight years, Bruna is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Luigi Genio and Donna, and John and Kim; her three grandchildren, Kevin, Sergio and Alysha; and her great granddaughter Breanne. She is also remembered by her brother Adamo of Moose Jaw, SK; her sisters, Clemensa and Onorina, both of Italy; as well as her numerous nieces and nephews in both Canada and Italy. Bruna was predeceased by her sister Taresina; her brother Giuseppe; and her grandson Christopher. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside services to follow at the Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
