Obituary of Vincent Peluso

Vincent Adolf Peluso, beloved husband of Bea Peluso of Calgary, passed away on May 29, 2006 at the age of 82 years. Vincent was born January 1, 1924 in New York City. He was educated at Brooklyn City College. He studied sculpture in New York, winning two city competitions. Vincent was an accomplished opera singer who sang with the Amato Opera and many other opera companies in New York City. He sang with the Calgary Philharmonic and started the Lollipop Opera Company in Calgary putting on performances with the Parks Department. He served in the US Army Corps in WWII. Vincent moved to Canada in 1965 and settled in Calgary where he worked as a plumbing design engineer. He performed Phantom of the Opera at Mt. Royal College; performed for nursing homes and schools and was often called upon to sing at weddings and funerals. Life?s Greatest Moments for Vincent were the birth of his daughters, Felicia and Angela. Vincent will be sadly missed by his wife Bea, daughters Felicia (Trevor Woroby) of Calgary and Angela Kissinger of New Jersey; sister Mary Giacinto of Brooklyn, NY; brother Emidio (Maria) Peluso as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and the United States. He was predeceased by his mother Josephine and father Adolf Peluso. Funeral Services will be held at St. Giles Presbyterian Church (1102 – 23rd Avenue N.W.) on Friday, June 2, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ross Williams, Presider.
