Obituary of Margaret Soloski

Margaret Soloski beloved wife of Al Soloski of Calgary, passed away on May 29, 2006 at the age of 64 years. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Margaret was born in Beiseker and moved to Calgary in 1964, when she married Al on May 30th. She was an active member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church and a parish council member. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League of Canada for the past thirty-two years involved at the Local, Provincial and National Levels. Margaret always enjoyed life to the fullest and was a very active and positive participant in everything she did. Family gatherings, celebrations and traditional Christmas and Easter were very important to her. She enjoyed dancing, travelling, golfing and the great outdoors. Besides her loving husband Al, Margaret is survived by her children and their spouses; Mary Ann and Mike Fullerton of Calgary, Kenneth and Sandra Soloski of Cochrane, Frances Soloski and Joe Gaddi of Calgary, Dale and Sherry Soloski of Calgary; seven grandchildren, Madison and Matthew Fullerton, Tyson, Courtney and Alyssa Soloski, Brooklyn and Sydney Soloski; eight sisters and brothers-in-law, Vivian and George Palardy of Calgary, Katherine and Harvie Spence of Fairview, Ann and Bob Dunbar of Stony Plain, Joan and Stan Miller of Creston, BC, Johanna and James Friesen of Calgary; Millie and Rodger Ohlheiser of Calgary, Mary and Gordon Ohlheiser of Nanton and Barbara and Doug Zimmerman of Castor; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Darlene Schmaltz, Ed and Merle Schmaltz, Fred and Kathy Schmaltz, and Jack and Lorna Schmaltz all of Calgary; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her parents Carl E. and Katie Schmaltz. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1525 – 45th Street S.E.) on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Concelebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1525 – 45th Street S.E.) on Friday, June 2, 2006 at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Dominic Pham Van Bao OP, the Rev. Edmund Vargas and the Rev. James Hagel, Presiders. Graveside service to follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
