Dearest Cayla,

You are a perfect reflection of your mother’s love.

The cancer your mom had was not her fault. It was not your fault.

The best doctor’s and scientists could not cure your mom’s type of cancer. The doctor’s are still trying to find a cure for this cancer. They will not give up. Just like you, they will try harder until they succeed.

Your mom lived for you. She lived longer because of you.

Please ask your family all the kind and thoughtful things you did for your mom. You could write down these stories and even draw beautiful pictures of all that you did together.

In the whole world, there would never be a more helpful, considerate and wonderful girl than you.

You always listened to your mom. SHe gave you a wonderful beginning and she’ll be with you, in your heart forever and always.

Remember, you were always there for your mom. Always helping, caring, hugging, loving and giving her more strength.

I hope you will feel very proud that you gave your mommy so much love that she was able to fight for almost five years to be with you.

You were a miracle of love for your mom. Your mom will always be in your heart to help with hard times- because you were and still are her miracle.

You were always there for her and did not fail her.

Cayla, when you think you can’t do something- remember you already have done the impossible. You gave your Mom what she needed to survive almost five years. When the best doctor’s in the whole world could not help her to live longer, she had love to live for.

So, believe in yourself. You were successful. So, keep trying because you did succeed in giving your mom what was impossible- almost five years more with you. Now, she is always in your heart.

One day, you will understand just how successful you were in helping your mom. Until then, just know that you are already a star and a hero to us.

If you think that you can’t do something, then just think of something that you know will make you happy and feel good about your self. Like for me, it is my mom. She was ALWAYS there for me and I was supposed to be there for her but obviously I didn’t do such a great job of that. Because she died. But even if you know that you will fail something, like I failed to keep her alive, you should always have someone with you in your heart to help you with all of your hard times

I am at school right now, and I am just adding this super quick, I loved her with all my heart. Every year when it was her birthday, me and my dad would write a message and send it up in a balloon
