Obituary of William Brain

William (Bill) Arthur Brain, beloved husband of Ann Brain of Airdrie passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at the age of 84 years. Bill was born January 3,1922 to William and Winnifred of Toronto. He came west in 1961 and he and Ann were married. Bill loved the west and started a successful business, Western Valve Services Ltd. within the oil and gas industry, retiring in 1980. He was an active long time member of the Lions Club in both B.C. and Alberta, holding many offices Bill will be lovingly and sadly missed by Ann, his wife of forty-five years; daughters and son-in-law, Geraldine and Tom Logan of Sterling, ON. and Brenda Watson of Airdrie, AB; three step sons, Wayne, Wesley and Bradley Diegel all of Calgary; one sister, Dorothy (Dalton) Peck of Burlington, ON.; two brothers, Jack Brain of Port Perry, ON. and Norman (Pat) Brain of Airdrie; sisters-in-law, Lydia Morlock of Stettler, Katherine (Ted) Allen of Calgary and Emma Hohenacker of Vernon, BC.; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his father, mother, his first wife Rachel of Toronto, his sister Florence Fitchett and sisters-in-law Emma Kievit and Elva Brain and brother-in-law Rudolph Hohenacker. Faith Brace, Presider.Graveside Service to follow at the Delia Cemetery.
