Obituary of Stanley V. Boguslawski

Stanley V. (Stanislaw W.) Boguslawski, beloved husband of Danuta Boguslawski, passed away at his home in Calgary, AB, on Friday, May 19, 2006 at the age of 84 years. Stanley was born in Wolkowysk, Poland, served in the underground army (AK) under the pseudonym “Longinus”, later joined the army and graduated from the Polish Army Artillery Officers School (1945). After the war he completed his studies in Poland achieving the titles of Engineer of Agriculture and Master of Agritechnical Sciences (1953). He became a Canadian Citizen in 1971 working in both Alberta and Ontario until his retirement. In Calgary he was Past-President of the Propagation of Polish Culture Society. Stanley will be remembered as a man who loved the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, and horses. He also loved to tell stories and had a phenomenal sense of humour. Stanley also had a great love for his country of birth, Poland as well as his adopted country, Canada. Besides his loving wife Danuta, he leaves behind his beloved children, Michal Boguslawski of Mississauga, ON, Maria Komierowski and her family in Sweden, Krystyna Arnander and her family in Sweden; his brother Roman and his family in Poland; and his stepson Marek Menczyk and his family in Calgary. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Peace Polish Catholic Church (2111 Uxbridge Drive N.W.) on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
